This list is by no means exhaustive, there are plenty of
web sites online to look up information about hotels and villas.
You should definitely research any hotel you stay at
before you make reservations. I recommend using tripadvisor.com
to get a feel for the hotel and read the descriptions and use the forum to ask
questions or look up info from other users on tripadvisor. The prices are
overall estimates and are usually much better when you check rates using
tripadvisor.com or kayak.com and venere.com, both of which I highly
recommend. Here are a few recommendations to get you started:

Hotel Eden Roc
We were going to stay at this hotel before the wedding but decided to go with Hotel Posa
Posa instead. We decided to take a chance on Hotel Posa Posa instead for many different
reasons. Although, the tripadvisor users love the Eden Roc.

Villa Cimbrone
Amanda's parents are staying here on the day before the wedding, Wed the 4th and the
wedding day, Thurs the 5th. We are staying there for the same two days as well.
Amanda's brother Mark and his family will be staying in Positano in a villa with the
Walkers. Amanda and I will be at Hotel Posa Posa in Positano prior to checking into the
Hotel Cimbrone the 4th - 6th April.

The hotel Maison La Minervetta is located in a unique position in Sorrento, on the cliffs

All of these hotels are in the Chiaji district. The Chiaji area is near nice shops,
restaurants, all of these hotels are situated near the consulates of the USA, France,
Greece, Switzerland embassy. The US Embassy is located at Piazzo della Republica.
This is also very close to the area that you would take a ferry to Sorrento or other
destinations.

# 4 rated hotel in the Chiaji district by tripadvisor.com. The hotel web site shows a
above average hotel with style. Tripadvisor.com users like it alot! I found it for $244
(190 Euro) on Expedia.com. Not cheap but probably worth every penny compared
to others.)
